Further to the message below (posted last month), please can all current Year 2 parents/guardians contact Mrs Youll by 15th July to let her know your child's meal preference.

Dear Parents

This letter is a reminder that once your child moves up to year 3 in September they will no longer be entitled to a free school meal as part of the government’s universal free school meal scheme for infant aged children.

However, you may still qualify for free school meals depending on personal circumstances, but you will have to complete the application on line at http://www.togetherforchildren.org.uk/families

Please be aware that applications are not usually backdated so if we have not been advised by the free school meals team of your entitlement when we return to school in September, then all meals will have to be paid for straight away. The cost is going to be £2.20 per day and must be paid on Monday morning for the week (Tuesday for the first week back) in a clearly marked envelope.

If your circumstances change during the year then you can make an application at any point using the details above.

If you decide to switch your child from school meals to packed lunches in view of the above, please let the school office know as soon as possible or at the latest before the end of term or any meals prepared on the first day back will need to be paid for.
