We have some updated information regarding ‘key workers’ and childcare provision during the school closure.

Key workers identified are:

All police officers, PCSOs and the majority of the civilian police staff

Firefighters

Healthcare staff (doctors, nurses and cleaning staff)

Prison officers and most prison staff

Social workers

Council planners and environmental health staff

Highway Agency road traffic officers

Most Ministry of Defence staff

Delivery Drivers (supermarkets/food)

Education workers – teachers and workers in a school

For your child to have access to school during the closure, you must meet the following criteria:

• If you are a single parent, you must work in one of the key worker categories
• If you and your partner are BOTH key workers
