Year of Reading 2026
The National Year of Reading 2026 is the biggest campaign in a generation designed to help more people (re)discover the joy of reading and make it part of their everyday lives.
Everyone knows reading expands worlds, sharpens minds, and fuels creativity. But fewer of us are making time for it.
It’s time for the nation to Go All In!
In 2026, the National Year of Reading is reconnecting reading with the things that already inspire us – from playlists and football matches to films, food and family time. It’s reading that fits how we live, not the other way around.

Librarians' Christmas Competition
Well done to everyone who entered, and congratulations to all of the winners of the Librarian's Christmas competition (including Poppy from Nursery) who collected their prizes and chose a book from the vending machine!
Book Swap
Remember...we don't just encourage children to read - we also like our parents and carers to join in too!
Our popular book swap is located within the main entrance foyer. Please take a look if you haven't already. Take a book home that you like and feel free to drop off any that you have and think other adults within our school community would like to read.
Our Year 6 librarians have been busy keeping it tidy.
Thank you for all of the amazing donations!
Accelerated Reader - Summer Term Winners
Congratulations to the lucky winners of the book vending machine gold coins. All children who achieved their summer term Accelerated Reader target were placed into a prize draw in their year group and received the chance to select one of the amazing books from the vending machine. Happy reading!
Reading Ambassadors
Here are our first group of Year 6 Reading Ambassadors working with some Year 2 children on their reading in the school library.
