Special Events
Throughout the school year we offer various safeguarding workshops, visitors and enrichment for our pupils. Some of the events we offer can be seen below. ‘Governors and staff at Castletown Primary are committed to keeping our children safe – share that commitment.’
Thank you to our Community Police Officers who regularly call into school and offer support to our pupils. In September they introduced themselves to our pupils, during assembly, and talked about how they are here to help us to keep safe within our community.
Later in the term they spoke to our Year5 and Year6 pupils about keeping safe and the issues relating to Contextual Safeguarding. This is an approach to understanding, and responding to, young people's experiences of significant harm beyond their families. They shared a PowerPoint presentation and engaged in some thought provoking discussion.
